Previously classified videos taken by Navy pilots that have traveled the web for years have finally been officially released by the US Pentagon. Video footage taken in 2004 and 2015, but only verified by the Navy in 2007 and 2017, show unexplained aerial phenomena flying over the Pacific. However, Sue Gough, the Defense Department spokesperson, makes it clear that this discovery “does not reveal any sensitive capabilities or systems, and does not impinge on any subsequent investigations of military air space incursions by unidentified aerial phenomena.”
The Navy pilots that first encountered the craft in the airspace described it as 40 feet long, hovering 50 feet above the ocean, and accelerating at speeds never seen before. After the pilots saw this strange craft, they set out to their meeting spots 60 miles away to convene with other pilots on different aircraft. Before the plane was even halfway to the meeting spot, it was reported that the unknown craft was already there. The UAP, or unidentified aerial phenomena, had traveled 60 miles in the blink of an eye. This difficult task is not possible with any Earth-made technological advancement, insinuating that the craft is extraterrestrial.
A dialogue between Navy pilots was recorded on the plane that witnessed one of the 2015 incidents. “There’s a whole fleet of them,” one pilot states. “They’re all going against the wind. The wind’s 120 knots to the west. Look at that thing, dude!” the first pilot says. “It’s rotating!” This bizarre sight was one that no one expected to see. This sighting was purposefully restricted from the media with the hopes of not inciting panic. Uncertainty is a difficult thing to explain to the masses, and since there was no clear explanation as to what the pilots saw, it was best to keep this confidential.
Retired commander David Fravor, a Navy pilot of 18 years, states that he believes the crafts are from a different world, and “nothing close” to anything he has seen in the past on any of his missions in the air. The magnificent acceleration and aspect that the craft did not have any wings stunned officials. This type of structure moving the way that it does has not been seen on Earth before. Currently, there is no reason to believe that the unidentified aerial phenomena are causing harm on Earth, but more research is needed to ensure national security.
It is only a matter of time before another spotting occurs. However, this may not be something to be afraid of, but rather something to learn from. As Senator Harry Reid states, the release of these videos only “scratches the surface of research and materials available.” Upon another sighting, researchers may be given a clue as to what crafts these are, what they are made of, and how they are able to fly at such intense speeds. Make sure to keep an eye on the sky, as Navy pilots are not the only ones capable of viewing such events.
