Have you ever looked above and seen a flying saucer-type craft flying through the air? What about a ball of light spiraling from the sky? If you have, you may not be as crazy as you think you are, and if you haven’t, don’t be so sure you never will.

Professional football player Baker Mayfield is among some of the lucky people who have witnessed a UFO sighting. While on his way home from dinner with his wife on March 3, 2021, the Cleveland Brown quarterback tweeted that he had seen a UFO.

The tweet read, “Almost 100%, Em and I just saw a UFO drop straight out of the sky on our way home from dinner… we stopped and looked at each other and asked if either of us saw it… A very bright ball of light going straight down out of the sky towards Lake Travis. Anybody else witnesses this?”

Emily, Baker’s wife, also stated that she is not one to typically believe in UFO presence, but was certainly caught off guard by the experience had no other explanation for what this “bright ball of light” could have been. She explained on her Instagram story that night, “it was a big light, and it was going straight from the sky, down to the ground…We’re not massive believers in this, we’re not nay-sayers, but we’ve never seen it for our own eyes, so we’re just a little confused.”

Speculators of the incident believe the couple did not see an unidentified flying object, but rather the SpaceX prototype rocket that had exploded in Austin, Texas around the same time the alleged UFO was spotted. It is unclear whether the sighting was, indeed, a flying saucer, or a mere rocket mishap.

Baker Mayfield UFO Sightings

Mayfield and his wife are not the only football families to have witnessed this spectacle. Green Bay Packer’s star Aaron Rodgers spotted a UFO in 2005 while in New Jersey. Following the sound of sirens, Rodgers, teammate Steve Levy, and Levy’s brother looked outside and to the sky. He stated the craft he saw was orange and moved horizontally throughout the clouds. After the light went out, the three men stared in awe at the sky, contemplating what had just occurred. Not even thirty seconds later, they then heard fighter jets.

Rodgers mentioned in a 2016 interview with Pete Holmes that often times there are similarities that occur in many UFO sightings, such as the sound of fighter jets and being near a nuclear power plant. Ironically enough, Rodgers was a mere thirty miles from a nuclear power plant that emitted the sounds of sirens when he witnessed this great phenomenon.

Witnesses of these strange occurrences certainly make one question the presence of UFOs within our atmosphere, and on our planet. If these NFL stars are believers in UFOs, it makes one question the truth regarding the spectacular events. Will you be the next one to see a flying saucer above your head?
